2 For 1: Mini Album in a Box

Hello, G45ers!

 We have a genius new way to keep your keepsakes and photos safe in this two for one mini album in a book box by Einat Kessler.  Einat used one of our many Book Boxes and our Secret Garden – Deluxe Collector’s Edition to create this stunning scrapbook.  One of the many reasons we are thrilled to share this beauty is because it fits perfectly with our March #G45Album Challenge.  This Challenge is easy to enter and a great opportunity to mingle with like-minded G45ers, and a fun chance to win $150 of G45 goodies.  Just create an album using Graphic 45 products, and upload to the Graphic 45 – Official Community Page using the #G45Album hashtag and you will be entered to win!  But before we jump into this fun album in a box we have our Weekly Blog Contest to announce.

Mini Album Box

“Hi dear crafty friends!

Einat here with a new project to inspire you. I love boxes. They seem to capture my imagination and I always try to come up with new ways of incorporating them in my projects. Today I want to share with you my Mini Album Box.

 

At first glance, it might seem like a regular box that I covered with papers and embellished. But this box is actually a mini album…

 

 

 

To create this mini album box I used the kraft ATC box. I love its size and that it’s deep and can fit a lot inside. I cut the side of the box and attached a binding mechanism. This way the box is both a box and the cover for the mini album.

 

Then I added the pages and embellished the box with the amazing Secret Garden collection.

 

 

Tip #1: When changing the structure of a box make sure it’s sturdy enough to stand the change. Cover the cuts with washi tape to hide the cuts and the inner chipboard.

 

 

Tip #2: When covering a box or a 3D project cut your paper slightly smaller than the area you need to cover. This will make the movement of the project easier and add a uniform margin around all sides.
