Crafters you are in store for an amazing blog post. Inside we have a brand new 3×3 Craft Basket Challenge. Master Detective Mini Album

“Using only a 12×12 Patterned Paper Pad from Master Detective and the Washi Tape Set and Mixed Medium Album from the Staples Collection, I was able to create this masculine Master Detective Mini Album. Creating this mini album was an absolute blast and it will be perfect to give as a gift this Christmas. I hope that you'll enjoy some of the up close photos of the Master Detective Mini Album as well as a few tips and tricks.

Tip: There are lots of cardstock pages and vellum pages in the mixed media album, so use them for some of your photo mats.
Tip: Use the Washi Tape to decorate the top and bottom of some of your vellum pages.

Winter Wonderland Album

“There’s something magical about snow at Christmas! The Winter Wonderland collection takes me back to the New England Christmases of my childhood with glistening snow on tree branches, winter birds and dazzling natural beauty. I love this collection with its Farmhouse Christmas vibe and rich vintage colors and patterns.
It was so much fun to use the 12×12 Winter Wonderland paper collection, an Ivory Mixed Media Album and Graphic 45 Washi Tape in the December Craft Basket Challenge.
With Christmas right on our doorstep, I decided to make a December Daily album. To keep things simple, I divided the month up into 4 weekly sections with lots of room for photos, recipes, and journaling in each.
I created an accordion style pocket inside the front cover and filled it with decorated Staples Standard Black tags. Use these to dress up cookie plates, gifts or even as photo mounts. The Winter Wonderland paper really pops off the black background!
Tip: Create quick and easy border accents with Graphic 45 Staples Washi Tape. Not only does the tape look great, it helps to reinforce the hole punches in the album. Add the tape to one side of the page, then re-punch the holes. Then flip over and repeat. This way you don’t lose track of where the holes are.
Each week starts with a decorative vellum signature page that is also a pocket.
Tip: Stitch or glue two vellum pages together leaving the right hand side open to form side pocket pages. Then trim the kraft cardstock pages to measure 5” x 7” so they will fit inside the pockets. These are a great spot for larger photos or even recipes that you use during the holidays.
The tabbed pocket pages hold photo mounts created with 4” x 6” images from Winter Wonderland. I’ve added fun little flip elements, waterfall feature, decorated tags and other fun goodies in these wonderful pockets.
Tip: For these pocket pages, cut your designer paper to measure 6” x 6” for the top portion. The pocket paper will measure 6” x 3”. If you cut all the papers for these pages at the same time, the album will go together much faster.
Tip: Staples Square Black Tags make wonderful photo mounts. Decorate simply with a small border strip and tuck into pockets.
I’ve included decorated ivory pages to hold really large photos.
There’s a large pocket on the back inside cover with a special surprise! Red Alphabet Banner Tags are backed with gold paper and decorated with cute chipboard embellishments, ribbons and flowers. The tags spell out the word NOEL and can be hung from ribbon or string to create a banner.

Dolce Vita Album

I love italy and the idea that other country have about Italy, a place where everybody live their “Dolce vita”, with high fashion dresses, all that baroque architecture and fancy living. I love how american pronounce italian words, i love how they live their holidays in our cities like Rome or Venice and i love the idea they have about our passionate love. And listening to old italian songs and thinking about Dolce and Gabbana dresses i’ve made this album to keep all the photos i’ve mad all over Italy.” ~Nico
