Craft Studio Tour

By Ginger Ropp

“My craft room space is where I like to say the magic happens.  Everything from creating, designing, and shooting video is done in this space. Storage is always an issue for me. I do like to use glass containers for a lot of my small bits and other items. I even use a glass container to store my tape as well as my twine and ribbon. I like to upcycle glass containers for storage. Tools that I use often are easily accessible on my table top. I utilize three spinners on my work table.  I have a short video tour of my craft room where we even take a peek into the infamous hoard vault.” ~Ginger

I loved seeing Ginger's space! It is always fun to see where other crafters make magic! I laughed so hard at the "how many scissors does one person need" comment! I also have a LOT of scissors...and my family is to NEVER take a pair from the craft area! I keep a few bins of "family friendly" scissors for them to use, plus some that are for the kitchen only, and I have a bin of "for the classroom" as well. I could be a scissors salesperson! hee hee

Thank you for sharing. I have been ready to get organized better so I can find things. I was wondering where you get your paper storage inserts from? Those are what I am looking for.

Ginger was one of my first paper crafting mentors, proud to be with her since she started her wonder videos. So happy to see her albums on G45! Everyone's craft space looks more organized than mine! Oh, well, the beautiful projects get created anyway!

Thanks Ginger! I am creating a new space for crafting, so glad you shared. I also love Glass. Happy to see you used black fixtures. I have always used white but for some reason I bought black. I am thinking of white cubies with different colors for labels.

Ginger, I love your craft room. At first, I was really worried that it was just too neat and tidy. Thanks for sharing the vault too. It made me feel much more comfortable and less like a slob!

Congratulations Laurie! Wonderful tips shared. I too have a favorite jelly jar that is glass & I store in those. They also stack easily, and don't slide or tip. I don't have ikea where I am. Right now I am using origami shelving & still a work in progress!

Hi Ginger..Love your room and especially your table but I thought you had a larger space. It seems so in your videos. I love everything you do. You were one of the first videos I ever watched a couple of years ago when I started this exciting hobby. I certainly am not great at it but I do LOVE it! Thanks for your inspiration.
