Hello, G45ers!

Today on the blog we have a fantastic 3D Boat Frame with a fun video tutorial.  This adorable boat frame was created with Graphic 45 collection, Sun Kissed by Brand Ambassador Teresa Cruz aka Andor Violeta.  So pull out your favorite G45 papers and let's create!

How to make a 3D Summer Photo Frame

By Teresa Cruz aka Andor Violeta

“Hello everyone, so the Summer is one of my favorite seasons of the year, and for this month what is the best way to celebrate summer, vacation time…. yes, you know… a summer project to store, share and keep memories of happy times together.

Here I have a photo of my older son when he was younger, and that is my mom who unfortunately passed away last year… we miss her so much, but I want to preserve all the memories of her, so we, and especially my older son that really like her, can look at this pictures and smile and be thankful for the precious time that we had with her!!

So, I grab my Sun Kissed Collection and this photo and I created a 3D Photo frame, as you can see:

I use Graphic 45 chipboard to make the structure of the frame. It’s very easy to make projects with this chipboard, we can create almost anything!!

Tip: To make the frame more steady I glue two pieces of chipboard together (like you can see on the video tutorial below)

I glue the papers to the chipboard pieces, sand and ink the edges, then I glue all together in a boat shape.

Then is time to embellish with what you have: fussy cut elements from the collection, shells, stars, little bottle with sand and also some fluffy thing (that I don't know what it's called) that I use to mimic corals and to add dimension to my project. Some of them I ink with orange colour, like the stars that were also white when I bought them!!

I love these turtles, they just give life to the project!!

The colours and designs of this collection are amazing!! Perfect for summer projects!!

And now, one more photo of the finished project!!

Love this! I've just started using chipboard to make frames and other projects, so this is very helpful and inspiring!

WOW, that is so cute!!! It would look really great in a kiddo's room if they have a beachy theme. Grandma and kiddo, what could be better????? Great job designing.

I really like this project. Love that you made the boat from scratch without a die. So much fun:)
