Hello, G45ers!
Are you looking for a great gift idea or two? Today Katie Z shares a genius Wedding Guestbook that is complete with an additional mini album in a box, and a few decorative magnets. Katie used Graphic 45's Princess paper collection and reconstructed our Square Tag & Pocket Album. This gift package is a great source of inspiration for our #G45OffthePage - February Challenge.
Wedding Guestbook
By Katie Z
“Guestbook is perhaps one of the essentials when it comes to weddings. Just for one of my girlfriends who recently got married, I “re-engineered” one of Graphic 45 square tag & pocket albums into a personalized wedding guestbook for her big day.
The wedding theme is of a garden theme and I’d think a dainty wood texture with a little rustic romantic feel will suit the theme well. This is where I decided to alter the entire front cover with embossed woodgrain cardstocks and paint over with some pearlescent paint and distressed the edges with some gold and brown paints. Of course, I added some sparkling glitter as well!
To transform the tag album into a guestbook, I tore the various pockets out from the spine and make it into a book by stitching them together with some cream writing paper in between. Instead of binding the book back to the spine, I placed an elastic band over at the cover to serve as a binder to hold the guest book in place.
To make it really interesting for this guestbook, the photo of the couple was made removable with the use of magnet where they can either place their picture at the front of their guestbook or even place it on their fridge! What’s beneath on the front cover bears their names.
Besides the guestbook, I’ve also made a separate mini album for the couple together with a box where they can either keep it together with the guestbook or as a standalone.
One more photo of the couple that’s designed to be removable from the box itself with the use of magnets. Use it as a standalone or attached on either side of the box, in any ways the they wish, making this entire guestbook an interesting and fun one.
And this is the entire “package” for the guest I’ve altered and made for the lovely couple on their wedding day which they love them to bits.” ~Katie

Beautiful!! My youngest son is getting married sometime in the next few years...
Awesome ideas for weddings. I think I can alter some of the ideas for other occasions since I don’t have many weddings to attend at my age.
So beautiful!

I am inspired to see your design team using a variety of colors for ink distressing. I'm weary of always seeing a brownish color. Thanks for posting these projects!
