#G45Card - Twelve Days of Christmas-Christmas Cards

By Tanya Cloete

Hello, dear G45ers! Happy to share with you my project for this month #G45Card. I made two Christmas Cards featuring the stunning Twelve Days of Christmas DCE! I used lots of cutting dies to create these pretty cards. I enjoy die-cutting from paper and using these as layers on my projects.

Herewith the Supplies and Instructions you may use to recreate such a project:

Graphic 45 Supplies:

Twelve Days of Christmas—Deluxe Collectors Edition

Antique Brass Metal Door Plates & Knobs

Washi Tape Set

Other Supplies:

  • Various Dies
  • Embossing Folders
  • White Cardstock
  • String and Sequins
  • Glitter Swirl Embellishments
  • Soft Gloss Gel

Cut a card from white cardstock measuring 20 cm x 11 cm and score in half.

Cut a piece from the collection sheet to fit the cards leaving a small border. Add washi tape along the side and adhere to the card.

Tip: Cut a long strip of the washi so that it overlaps and fold it over the pattern piece before adhering.

Cut a few die cut shapes from the collection sheets using cutting dies. Cut a square piece from white cardstock and emboss using an embossing folder.

Layer all the elements before adhering.

Add the metal embellishments adhere with soft gloss gel or glossy accents.

Add the string to the big flower first and then adhere.

Add the collection chipboard elements and glitter swirl embellishments.” ~Tanya

So beautiful! I make most of my cards flat for sending in the mail, but I always make about ten layered and embellished for hand delivering to local friends - these are exactly what I'm looking for!

Beautiful cards. Would take a long time to make enough cards to send card list. Maybe a few for special people. Cost a lot to mail. Do they make and mail? Or just for people they hand deliver .they are beautiful.

Beautiful card and tutorial. Love the G45 St. Nicholas Christmas collection.

11/24/2018, 09:04:26 PM

That's another WOWZA... another junked up card using scrap paper (step 1), any die cut lying around in there excessive collections(step 2), throwing a flower on it (step 3), and than adding the metal so they look creative (step 4)... Not real creative but predictable. That is what the wowza's would really state.

Beautiful card, love the skinny shape. I use dies a lot from scraps of G45 paper collections for leaves, flowers etc. makes a nice fill in the same color scheme. Thanks for sharing’
