“Today I want to show how to make the imitation of metal, to create my own decoration with die cut, priming and wax.

I like a lot the set of die cut G45, frames are perfect as decoration. To create such decoration is very simple but they will go with any kind of cards, envelopes or any other project.

Hi Lena:Your cards are absolutely gorgeous. If you have time, would you give me the exact name of each of the products you used to make the frames pieces simulate metal. This would be my first attempt at creating this faux finish, and I'm willing to purchase whatever I need. Your work is just beautiful. Thanks so much.

I forwarded your question to Lena. Here is her answer: Hello Jan, I am glad that you liked my project. For the base, I used a thin craft carton Palazzo, in Russia it is sold in an art store. You can use any cardstock. Using Policy & Decorative Dies, I cut out the elements. I glued three elements together, so the future frame or corners will look more voluminous and stronger. Then I painted them black gesso. After that I started to apply Prima Finnabair -Metallique Wax Cire Cera- Vintage Gold It is necessary to let the wax dry for 5 minutes and you can apply a different color, but not on the entire surface, but along the edges or only in the middle. I used Indian pink and Bronze Age. That's all. If you have any more questions, you can ask me, I will always be happy to help
