2019-2020 Brand Ambassador

“Hello, paper crafting friends! I am super thrilled to be chosen for a second term, as one of Graphic 45 Brand Ambassadors for the term 2019-2020! I am so happy to be given such a wonderful opportunity to share my paper crafting passion with all of you!

A little bit about me:

I’m a Web Developer who owns her own home-based small business.  I love what I do. I enjoy the ability to take time out to travel with my family, and I have a passion for paper crafting.

Several years ago, I began my YouTube channel, Decor8yourlife, with the sole intention of brushing up on my Marketing skills. I even purchased a domain of the same name, just to use as a sandbox environment, to improve on my PHP and HTML skills.  This was all that it was supposed to be. Little did I know that it would take me so much further than I could ever imagine!

What drew me to Graphic 45 was that very first Mini Album video that I watched way back when on YouTube. It was the elegance of the illustrations, along with the color intensity that had me glued to my television, wanting and desiring to learn anything and everything about scrapbooking!

Fast forward a few years, and here I am before you, as a Graphic 45 Brand Ambassador, ready to share with you fun paper crafting ideas with my first paper love, Graphic 45.

Throughout my term as a Graphic 45 Brand Ambassador, it is my hope to bring you inspiration and easy to follow tutorials so that you can create and inspire others.

Furthermore, I’m looking forward to a year full of beautiful projects and inspiration, not only from my team-mates but from all of you too.

Thank you Graphic 45. I’m so happy to be here!

Graphic 45 Travelers Notebook

By Sandi Nagel

Hello, paper crafting friends! I am super thrilled to show you the NEW Graphic 45 Travel Album and Notebook Sets!  I love all the things that you can do with a Travelers Notebook, and this one is no exception.

I wanted to turn my Travelers Notebook into more of a journal/note-taking/scrapbooking hybrid, so I decided to remove the elastic band closure and add a magnetized closure instead.

Because of the versatility and re-usability of a Travelers Notebook, I wanted to ensure that the outside of my notebook goes with any of my Graphic 45 paper collections.  So, I chose the vintage black and cream colors from the Love Notes collection for the outer and inner covers.

I used the Love Notes, Little Darlings and Ladies Diary paper collections to cover the notebook inserts and to make the tag inserts.  I did this to show you how well your Graphic 45 paper collections complement each other.

Decorating the outer portion of my Graphic 45 Travelers Notebook was easy to do.  I used a Sizzix frame die for the focal point, and I used the same die to cut the insert that reads “Music gives a soul to the universe”.

I decided to add some Graphic 45 tags to my notebook as well, and the tag inserts were very easy to make using the Graphic 45 Tag Dies.

For the outer corners, I used the NEW Graphic 45 Metal Corners and Matte Pearl Gems.

You’ll also find that I decided to add some frame die-cuts to the front of each of the inserts. Each frame is topped with Graphic 45 Pearl Gems.  This is personal preference; and in my video, I explain why I decorated them this way.

Cutting and Scoring Guide in Inches

Like I mentioned earlier, I altered my notebook by adding a panel closure to it. This is very simple and quick to do. All you need is craft color card stock, a paper trimmer, and a scoring board.

The following is a complete cutting and scoring list:

  • For closure – Trim craft paper 8 ¾ x 5 ¼ then place it vertically on your scoring board and score 1” from the left and 2 ½ inches from the right.

  • Closure paper (front and back) 8 9/16 x 2 3/8, Closure paper (sides) 8 9/16 x 1 5/8.

  • Cover paper (front and back) 8 9/16 x 4 ½.

  • Bottom pockets (inside notebook cover) 4 3/8 x 3 3/8.

  • Top (inside notebook cover) 4 ½ x 5.

  • Inserts (outer covers) 8 ½ x 4 1/16.
