Imagine Junk Journal - Video Tutorial
By Katie Z
“Hello! Everyone, I wanted to follow up with the Junk Journal I made for August #G45JunkJournal Challenge, I guess it’ll be good to start utilizing the journal I made by creating a series out of it. As many of us would have known, it’s always easy to make an album or journal and it’s always an issue in filling in the pages.
Well, I don’t have a set of “standards” on how pages within junk journals should look like, however, I do want to have a theme to follow. Therefore, I decided to continue using the Imagine collection to fill in the pages. For today, this will be my very pioneer attempt to get this junk journal filled up.
Tip: Try creating your page layout by having a subject in mind. I chose “Imagination” for this layout and started to weaved my design around the subject. Optional: Find quotes to elaborate your subject.
Tip: Keep you layout as flat as possible so that you can close your book! I did very minimum dimensional work here and limited to layering of design elements. To create some dimensions, try distressing the edges with Decades dyes around the images before pasting them down.
There’s no limit in imagination… I’ve seen people draw or even paint onto their pages. If you find that too technical, a good starting point will be simply cutting elements out and design a layout out of it.” ~Katie Z
