Bride to Be Card & Envelope
By Katie Z
“Sometimes we wished we could just immerse ourselves in a beautiful garden of blooms and bliss. I wish that too especially!!! As one of my most lovely friend, Sarah is getting married soon, I was tasked to do up a card for her for her bridal shower.
Without much hesitation, I knew Graphic 45 Garden Goddess is the collection I should be using. Who can resist the beauty of blooms especially on a joyous occasion as such? Looking forward to Sarah’s bridal shower, I was really excited to present this card to her.
Tip: To fully utilize your paper collection, use one of the ephemera cards as the focal message of your card.
Framing in “Happiness Blossoms” with a golden floral frame simply makes the title of the card stands out. Without fail, to unfold the card within, I did up a similar concept for the envelope as well by using a circular golden floral frame. Wonder where that “Beauty” message comes from? It’s from one of the papers I die-cut out from. Sometimes you may need to “hunt” those “hidden” messages around. This is where all the fun is!
Tip: Rub some metallic gilding wax over the metal brass to match your entirecolour scheme. For this instance, I used white gold gilding wax to tone down the brass.
I felt a card is way too plain to be presented, therefore I decided to do up an envelope to house the card in. This is where the 12” x 12” matching solid and pattern papers come in handy.
Tip: Create a “lovely” tab at the lip of the envelope to give some pretty accent!
For most of us who are avid Graphic 45 followers, we all know how much of those lettering stickers we have previously and don’t seem to ever use them. And I do have piles of them; all packed and stored in one corner. It took me quite a well to search for a matching one and there it is I managed to find a close match and decided to name the card to make it personalized. So it’s just not any other card, specifically and specially made for Sarah…” ~Katie Z
