Hello, G45ers!

Celebrate in style with a #SimplyG45 handmade Gift Card Tag by the Queen of Fussy Cutting, Joanne Bain.  This handmade card has been created using our Celebrate Tags and our ever-so-popular Fairie Dust collection.  With a couple of sheets of paper and your fine tip scissors, any papercrafting project can come to life with fussy cutting.  We invite you to pull out your stash and create along with us!

#SimplyG45 - Gift Tag Card

By Joanne Bain

Hello, G45er’s, Joanne here with you today sharing a sweet little card tag created with the gorgeous Fairy Dust Collection. When thinking of creating a project that is simple, takes less than 1 hour to create and costs less than $10 the first thing that comes to my mind was a card, but for my project, I took it one step further and created a card tag.

To create my tag I fussy cut images from 2 pieces of Fairie Dust patterned paper. These papers are full of beautiful images that can be fussy cut and layered to create beautiful projects. Fussy cutting images from the papers is a cheaper alternative than purchasing pre-cut die cuts.

I used a piece of kraft cardstock to create the outside tag case and for an extra feature, I added a G45 Celebrate Kraft ATC Tag to the inside, which can be pulled out. I added a sticker from the Fairie Dust Sticker sheet and folded to create my tag pull.

I layered all the fussy cut images to create a gorgeous little card tag that can be hung from a gift with the chain attached.

Tip: Back stickers with pattern paper to use as stand-alone embellishments, like this "Make a wish" tag.

Tip: Cut the top of a die-cut Celebrate tag and back with pattern paper to add a fun sentiment to your Card Tag.

I’m embarrassed to admit when I first started paper crafting I didn’t know these papers were really about the fussy cutting. I used them as they were. When I finally realized I was using the papers wrong I felt like a dork. I’m sharing this just Incase there is a new paper crafter reading this. So they know they’re not alone.
