Paper Trimming Pro Tip

By Ginger Ropp

#G45Tip - if you need to trim down a strip of paper to fit your project you can use a post-it note to keep the strip from moving in your paper trimmer. Just adhere the post-it note to the strip of paper along the edge. This gives you something to hold onto so your paper doesn’t slip in your trimmer allowing for a nice straight cut.

I adore the Floral Shoppe collection, but to be honest, had a very hard time turning it into cards. It's not the collection's fault--I'm just not very good at coming up with original ideas. What I am good at is seeing what works; therefore, I often just copy someone else's idea. So, I was ecstatic to see your collection of Floral Shoppe cards. I loved every one of them and now have some cards to copy using my FS paper. And fantastic cutting tip. Thanks so much!

What a cute box, and you could use this idea for putting gift cards in, and decorate it for Christmas, Birthdays. etc. I love all of the flowers, and what a fun box to do with the flowers.

What a beautiful collection! It seems the online stores have been out for quite a while, as I have tried to order the set and they are always out. I came to card making and mini journal making through Ginger's video's on youtube. She makes it so easy and beautiful to follow her instructions.

I like that tip. I have also used washi tape to hold thin strips of paper I need to cut. I just cannot make myself waste a bit of my g45 paper.

Great tip - I am always fiddling with those thinner strips and hoping they don't slip when I lower the bar. Will be using this tip for sure. Thanks! And those treat boxes are very cute, too.

That is a great and very easy way to keep the papers to have a straight line. Makes me wonder why I didn't think about it? Thank you so much. Ellen from Phoenix

How many times have I come close to slicing a finger tip when trying to trim a small piece of paper! All I needed was a sticky note to save my "life and limb". LOL Peoples' minds sure work differently, don't they? How they come up with all these "forehead slapping why didn't I think of that" tips is beyond me. But, I'm sure glad they do!
