Hello, G45ers!

Pour yourself a cup of tea and join us today for, Elena Olinevich's simple, but evocative Herbs Box featuring Nature Sketchbook. This beautiful box is perfect for storing herbs or tea bags and can be completely quickly by following the included 60 second tutorial. She has covered one of ATC Boxes with paper from the collection and added some layers and stamps for detail. Filled with herbs, tea or any other trinkets, this box makes a thoughtful, but quick gift for friends or family. Check it out below.

Herbs Box

By Elena Olinevich

“I've made a box filled with the herbs for my project this time. I like to have a cup of herbal tea, especially if I collected them at my garden in our country house.

I used the Kraft ATC Box to create it.

To start, I covered it with the paper. You can check out how to do it in one of my posts that I have made previously on G45 blog here.

I wanted to add some dimension to my cover so I put some of the cut out butterflies and the well as the fern branches on foam pads. You can play with the height from medium to more thick, and the different layers will look more dimensional.

I also tried to embellish my box with the stamps, from the same collection - Nature Sketchbook.

How to do it - it’s quite simple, you can check my video tutorial below.

Quite easy, however, I think it’s a nice idea to make a gift for my friend, as I put dried jasmine from my garden. She like its smell and taste in her tea.

To make some notes, I have made a stamping on the tag that went with this ATC box.

Now I think I need to create more of these kind of boxes. I have so many herbs that I collected this summer that there is quite enough for my friends. Next in line is basil.” ~Elena

Beautiful! Decorating boxes is one of my favorite things, but I always struggle with the covering. I'm so glad you referred us to your video on decorating the box - never occurred to me to take it apart. And the brooch in that blog post is wonderful, too - I have just the friend who will love one of those!

I love the scent of Jasmine! What a perfect scent for this beautifully decorated box. And what a great gift idea. My sister loves tea, so I could see making one for her for her teabags.

These little boxes are just terrific ... I've used the ATC boxes before, but always covered very simply to be utilitarian. Now, I'm going to have to get a few more so I can do some stocking stuffer gift boxes for Christmas! Thanks for the inspriration!
