Hello, G45ers!

We have a delightful double feature for you today, featuring a Nature Sketchbook Shaker Card tutorial by Nico Scrap and a French Country Layout tutorial by Katelyn Grosart.  Nico gets things moving with his Summery Shaker Card full of beautiful fussy cut imagery and gear embellishments. Katelyn lends her talents next in a simple and subtle layout celebrating her grandma. Check out both informative tutorials below.

Nature Sketchbook Shaker Card

By Nico Scrap

What I like most about Summer, is the Summer storms, and I like the first sunshine after the storm even more. That’s what I’ve tried to represent with this card. This is my first shaker card and I loved making it. Instead of confetti, glitter or anything else, I’ve decided to put gears inside….of course! Hope you’ll like it!” ~Nico

Amour Scrapbook Layout

By Katelyn Grosart

Hey, G45 Fans! I’ve been busy playing with the French Country Deluxe Collector’s Edition this month, and I had forgotten how much I love this collection, which is now available at your local scrapbook store. While I was playing, I created this beautiful scrapbook layout that documents a photo of my grandma, which was taken last year when we were on our Alaskan Cruise. Make sure to grab a cup of your favourite beverage, and enjoy the photos and tutorial of my Amour Scrapbook Layout.

Tip: Mix chipboard elements with fussy cut images to create added interest on your layout.

Love Nico's shaker card! Thanks so much for the YouTube tutorial which I'll watch again when I make my first shaker card. Katelyn, the simplicity of your layout makes it that much more beautiful and thank you for the Snapguide.

Two beautiful projects! Nico makes me think about the variety of items I could use in a shaker card - why just use the same old sequins? And Katelyn's layout helps me see what frames and embellishments can do to a simple layout - it's wonderful!

Love this. Want to cry when I think how much was lost in the move.I was able to get French Country again, thanks to the special packs you put out, but still need to get St Nick, Nutcracker and Oz. I am sure there are more, I have been collecting since the late 90's, but can think of all.Hopefully, you will bring back more of the old sets. Love, love, love G45 papers.

super tutorial, i love the work with lots of extras and chipboards, and the butterflies are my weakness, just like the gears and trims, the male design without such extras is unfinished :)
