Little Darlings Mini Baby Album

By Sandy Trefger

“I love the Little Darlings paper collection. When it first came out several years ago, Icreated a baby album of my own baby photos at a class that I took at a retreat.  I loved my album and was so excited for myself and all of you when it was released as a Deluxe Collector’s Edition.  It is the most beautiful baby paper collection ever, in my opinion, and is perfect for a baby boy or girl and even for toddlers.  I designed this mini album using a combination of the pink tones and blue tones from the collection.  It’s a pretty simple design and easy to make ,which is wonderful when you want to make several to have on hand for gift giving or for a baby shower.  I’ve created a video tutorial to show you how I made the album cover, waterfall type pages and the zig-zag pages that are inside.

Graphic 45 Supplies:

Other Supplies:

  • 12×12 Chipboard, 1 sheet
  • 12×12 Ivory or Cream Cardstock, 8 – 10 sheets
  • ¼” double sided tape
  • Glue
  • Large Magnet Snaps (4 sets)
  • Flat Back Pearls
  • Ribbon
  • Pink Twine
  • Lace
  • Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Brush Pen, Clear
  • Metal Butterfly Charm
  • Ornate Heart Button
  • Decorative Lace Edge Punch

Fun Facts:

  • The crochet baby blanket in the photos for this project was made by my niece Becky when she was 16 years old and given to me at my baby shower.  Her crocheting was beautiful for such a young person and I have kept it all these many years.  It was perfect for staging these photos for my Graphic 45 baby album.

  • The little pink baby shoes in these photos are actually doll shoes that I purchased for a baby doll I have in my vintage toys collection.  I love how they look with the mini album

Tip:  If you are making baby albums ahead to keep on hand for future gift giving, cut out a boy and a girl “For Baby” cut apart and tuck both inside a pocket in the album.  This way once you know if the album is for a boy or girl, you can use the appropriate card with your gift.

I hope I have inspired you to use this lovely paper collection to create mini albums that you can use as baby gifts.   Create several so you’ll always have one on hand for the next time a little one is expected to a friend or family member or for when you are invited to a baby shower.  It will be loved and treasured for many years to come.

Happy Crafting,”

~Sandy Trefger
