A Little Farmhouse Story
Mini Album with a 3D Farmhouse Cover
Tutorial by Crafter Sabaa
“There’s something incredibly comforting about the farmhouse style — the warmth, the simplicity, and the feeling of slow, beautiful living. Keeping that thought close to my heart, I created this Farmhouse Mini Album, inspired entirely by the rustic charm of the Farmhouse Collection from Graphic 45
The moment you hold this album, it feels like stepping into a quiet countryside morning.

The Cover: A Story Before You Even Open It
The highlight of this album is the 3D farmhouse model on the cover. Designed with layers, textures, and depth, this little farmhouse comes alive with its barn-style doors, warm wooden tones, and tiny farm details. It almost feels like a miniature farm scene you can step into. I spent a lot of time building this cover because I wanted it to feel alive, like it’s welcoming you in and saying, “Come, there’s a story inside.”
I wanted the cover itself to speak… and I think it whispers tales of fresh air, open fields, and simple joys.

Inside Pages: Interactive, Fun & Thoughtfully Designed
As you open the album, the story continues through beautifully crafted interactive pages. Each page is designed with love and purpose, featuring:
- Flaps that open to reveal hidden memories
- Pockets to tuck away photographs, notes, or keepsakes
- Layered mats that add depth and farmhouse character
- Thoughtful placements that make the album fun to explore, page after page

Every flip brings a new surprise, making this album not just a photo book but a memory experience.
Perfect for Preserving Special Moments
This mini album is perfect for capturing family moments, countryside-themed memories, travel stories, or even as a heartfelt handmade gift. The neutral farmhouse palette and rustic elements make it timeless and versatile.

Beginner Tips for Creating a 3D Album Cover
If this is your first time building a dimensional album cover, keep these helpful tips in mind:
1. Build in Layers
Dimension is created one layer at a time. Use foam adhesive or chipboard to gradually add height and depth to your farmhouse structure.
2. Dry Fit Before Gluing
Lay out all your 3D elements before committing with adhesive. This ensures balance and alignment.
3. Use Neutral Tones for a Farmhouse Feel
Warm browns, soft creams, muted reds, and rustic wood textures help achieve that cozy countryside aesthetic.
4. Reinforce the Spine
A 3D cover adds weight. Make sure your mini album spine is sturdy and well-constructed to support the dimensional elements.
5. Don’t Overthink It
Interactive pages may look complex, but they’re simply layered flaps and pockets. Start simple and build confidence as you go.
Remember — handmade charm is what makes farmhouse style so special
Whether you’re preserving family memories, documenting a countryside trip, or creating a heartfelt handmade gift, this mini album design is timeless, versatile, and full of storytelling potential.

Beautiful album, Sabaa! The album cover is especially adorable, with the fun three-dimensional barn. Thanks for all the lovely ideas.
I love the dies included with the Farmhouse Keepsake set, and especially the sign die. Is there any place online where the die dimensions are posted? I’m wondering if the largest dies fit through a compact die cutter? Thanks for any info on this — much appreciated.
