Christmas Magic Tag Photo Album

By Glenys Vidal

"Hello G45ers, I am so happy to be back today to share with you my Christmas album for this year using the new Christmas Magic collection. I love Christmas and this album is hands down one of my favorite albums I have created so far. As soon as I saw this collection I knew I wanted to make a dimensional album that will also serve as Christmas decor for my home.

I wanted my album to have lots of dimension and different textures not only on the cover but in the inside pages too. I constructed a window on the first page with a 3D winter scene. I love how beautiful this looks when displayed open.

I started by creating a shadow box on the left side of the album. I made this insert with chipboard and then I covered it with papers and fuzzy cut images from the collection.

I made a fireplace replica with chipboard, a stencil, and heavy gesso. I also used distress ink to achieve a realistic look.

And then the fun began – adding lots of fuzzy cut images and stickers from the collection.

The cover of the album is also very dimensional and has a lot of different layers made from papers, fuzzy cut images, flowers, stickers, and ribbon.

For the inside pages, I wanted lots of flaps and inserts for my Christmas photos.

I am so in love with all the papers from this collection. They coordinate beautifully to create stunning pages.

I knew that I was going to take lots of pictures during Christmas, so to add extra storage for those photos I used two Graphic 45 tags in each pocket of my album.

Tags are so easy and fun to make that in no time I had a stack of them ready to use!

#G45Tip: “Use Graphic 45 tag dies to make different size tags. This will add interest to your pages and function as extra storage for your photos.”

#G45Tip: ‘Use your ephemera 3×4 and 4×6 cards to decorate tags, pages and add journaling space to document your memories”

I added a policy envelope to keep mementos. I can also use it as extra storage for my photos.

To finish my Christmas Album I wanted to add a letter to Santa. For this insert, I used a stamp from my stash and cream colored cardstock.

I am hoping that you liked this project and get inspired to create your own. Happy holidays to you all!" ~Glenys
