DIY Lace Organizer Book
Tutorial by Sabaa Hassan
“Hello G45ers!
This is Sabaa and I welcome you to my beautiful world of creativity.
Today’s project is full of love, vibrant colors and with a unique idea.
I decided to create something on the theme of love. And while working on it, all of sudden I realized that why to define love always between to persons. Love could be in anything. Be it your work, your family or your passion. I am deeply in love with my craft work and can’t think of a day without sitting on my craft table. So, with this thought I created my today’s project.
I am presenting you all my recent work “ LACE BOOK ” featuring Love Notes Collector’s Edition 8×8 Pack with Stickers of Graphic 45.
I just can’t hold my excitement enough to share the process. I have made a detailed video covering the making process, which you can find later in the post.
To start the process, I have created this shape on a cardstock. (After cutting it I realized this shape is very much similar to bone shaped treats for pets hahaha…)
I cut total 5 pages, and cut 10 patter papers from the Love Notes Collection.
I scratched paperpapers as shown in picture/ video.
Then I distressed all the cardstock using Natural Linen Ink Pad.
After that it was a time to add the hinges to all the pages. I have cut the strips of
2 6/8” * 1” and scored half in lengthwise and pasted on the one side of my cardstock page.
I have attached all the ready pattern papers to cardstock pages.
Once my all pages were ready, I created album/book base. For this, I have used Black 12×12 Chipboard Sheets (10 pack)
For the base I cut out 4 2/8” *5 ½” (2 pcs) and 4 2/8” *2 ¾” (1 pc). And using a pattern paper I bind the book.
Now I attached my prepared pages on the book spine. And also, I have used Folder & Sentiment Dies to create pockets on inside pages.
You will also find me using Policy & Decorative Dies to decorate my Lace book pages and cover page.
Since it is a Lace Book, so I wanted to add an element related to fabric, sewing and so on. So, I made a needle cushion using the Policy & Decorative Dies.
I used this to decorate my book spine from outside. And at last, I decorated my Cover page. I did various layering using pattern paper and sticker sheet. Also, I used Rose Bouquet Collection.
I have shot a full step-by-step tutorial which will help you all to understand the full process properly.
Hop on to the video below to watch.
