Pen & Brush Holder

Tutorial by Sabaa Hassan

“Hello G45ers!

This is Sabaa and I welcome you to my beautiful world of creativity.

Today’s project is full of love, vibrant colors and with a unique idea.

When you craft table is decorated with gorgeous handmade pieces, you will just feel like working all day long.

My today’s project is a part of #G45CraftStorage monthly challenge. So, I decided to go with a beautiful pen/ brush holder for my craft table. I have used The Beach is Calling 12×12 Collection Pack from Graphic 45

LET START THE PROCESS

First of all, I took Kraft 12×12 Chipboard Sheets (10 pack) and cutout 4 pcs of size   2 ¾” * 5 ½”.

And 1 piece of 2 ¾” * 2 ¾”.

Now I used The Beach is Calling 12×12 Collection Pack and cut any light colored pattern paper of the same size as chipboard sheets i.e. 2 ¾” * 5 ½” (4 pcs) and 2 ¾” * 2 ¾” ( 1 pc). Also cut one 3.25” * 3.25” pattern paper to cover the other side of the base chipboard.

Its time to cover the chipboard sheets now. To cover the top edge of the chipboard sheet, I have cut 2 ¾” * 1” pattern paper and folded it in half lengthwise and pasted on the top edge of the all 4 chipboard sheets.

Once done I will cover all the 4 chipboard sheets.

Also, I covered the base chipboard sheet.

Now take pattern paper of 2 ¾” * 12” and paste all the 4 chipboard sheets keeping 1/8” of gap.

Fold and attach both the end together.

Once it will dry, we will add the base chipboard piece using any strong glue at the base.

Now its time decorate your brush holder as per your choice. For decorating my project, I have mainly used The Beach is Calling Ephemera Set . I have also used  handmade flowers, some chipboard and cheese cloth to enhance the look.

And this is how my final project looks.
