Craft Studio Tour

Hey G45 Fans! I'm excited that I’m able to share with you my tiny little area where I currently craft and store some of my supplies.  My boyfriend and I are currently in the process of buying a house, which means that I get to use a small portion of my parent’s media room in the basement to store some of my scrapbook supplies that I use on a regular basis. My other scrapbook supplies are currently packed away in storage waiting for their new home. And although this is not the normal amount of space I usually have, I usually have a bedroom,  I wanted to share with you all my current studio space as I’m sure that many of you can relate to how much room I have to work with.

To hold my most used supplies, I have all the products either in bins or rubbermaid containers, which allows me to organize them on a metal pantry shelf with wheels. With having the things I use regularly out on the shelves, it gives me the ability to find what I’m looking for quickly. For example, in the bottom right and middle of the shelf, those two bins hold all of the current Graphic 45 collections. Although it looks organized right now, there is always stuff in the front of the shelving unit.

Tip: Keep your paste, sprays, paints and inks in rubbermaid containers, that may if they leak, it’s easy to clean the container.

When I’m creating, I get to work on a nice 6ft table. I always try to keep my paper trimmer, craft mat and baby wipes as those things I use regularly. The caddy sitting right up against the wall holds all of my tools and of course chocolate or my other favourite snacking food.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my craft studio today! Although it’s currently small, it functions well and I’m able to find what I need in a timely fashion. I hope that I’ve inspired you to create your own space to create in.

Next up we have a gorgeous home decor piece.

Hey G45 Fans! It’s hard to believe that Fall is here as it has definitely arrived here on the west coast of Canada. With the changing of the weather and the cooler weather here, it has me thinking of creating Fall projects, especially those that can be used as home decor. This month, I’ve been busy playing with the new collection Seasons and I ended up creating a beautiful Autumn Home Decor Tray, perfect to add to your current Fall home decor. You’ll want to make sure to grab a cup of your favourite fall beverage and enjoy the photos and tutorial of my Autumn Home Decor Tray”.

Tip: Keep one of the ephemera cards the same as you would when you take it out of the package. With the first ephemera card out, take the matching ephemera card out and only cut the center of the card out. Once the center has been cut out,  add foam squares (3D adhesive) to the center to the center of the unaltered ephemera card.

Tip: For the top of the tray, layer images from the Autumn paper as well as the Autumn Collective paper to create a beautiful statement at the top of the tray.

Tip: Add Aged Brass Metallique Wax to the Ornate Metal Keyhole before adhering it onto your project.
