Tiny House Studio Tour
By Elizajane aka Tiny House Journals
“Welcome to my home! Sometimes I’m not sure if I live in a tiny house that has a tiny studio or I live in a tiny studio with a kitchen, bed and a bath in it. Either way, I consider the whole 254 sq ft (+ the loft) my creative space. Because I designed and built my home myself, I was able to plan everything around my creative passions. I knew that living tiny would require making some adjustments but having a designated space to not only work on projects but to also store supplies that were readily available was a priority. If your passion is to create, there should always be a way to make space for it.
I personally work best with a clean and uncluttered space, so I try to keep most of my supplies out of sight but within reach.
At the same time, I love to have small things around my home that continually inspire me. Above my desk I keep photos, clippings from magazines, personal or friend’s artwork or anything that inspires me. I hang these with washi tape so I can change them whenever the mood strikes.
I also have a small island cabinet between my kitchen and studio space that I use to enlarge my workspace when needed. I can extend one or both leaves when working on a larger project, doing mass coffee staining or when a friend comes over to work along with me.” ~Elizajane

Wow…I’m impressed! I guess…in that small living space, you really need to stay organized. You did a wonderful job. That little home looks very comfortable!
I’m so envious of your tiny home! I fantasize about having one, but I can’t imagine going from a 3-bedroom house to such a tiny space, especially since one of my rooms is full of craft supplies! Seeing your space and how it’s organized is very helpful – I can see how it can be done! Thanks for sharing!
