Craft Studio Tour – My happy place

By Linda Roos

“Hello crafty friends!

It’s time for a Craft Studio Tour. We live in a house with three bedrooms, one living room and a kitchen. So as long as the children live at home there isn’t a room for my scrapbooking. But there is a wardrobe with a small window that I have taken over and we made another solution for our clothes. Because it is a small room I have to have everything organized and some things stored away. I really like mix media but that is a thing that is stored away.

The first thing that I see before I go into my happy place is my bookshelf with most of my projects from all of the years. There have been a few. When I get a bigger room I am going to find a better way to store them, now they are behind and on top of each other. The projects that don’t fit here are in the room or spread out in the house.

I store my papers in different places, some on the Ikea shelf but the most beloved and newest I store in my tree paper stands. Of course, I store my Graphic45 papers in them. The first thing I do when I get a new collection is take off the plastic and look at it, then put everything that belongs to the same paper collection in one record case that fits perfectly. I like to have everything stored together.

My desk is filled with stuff I often use or just like to look at. It helps me to be more creative. My happy place is also a place where I refill my energy so it’s important that the space is filled with lots of feel-good things that make me smile.

I often do my own storage, that way I can get it the way I need it to be. This is a box I made to store my graphic45 tags and of course, I want to store the dies nearby so why not make a box so that the dies are next to the tags and easy to get to?

Here comes a craft room tour of my happy place.
