“Hello, Graphic 45er’s! Joanne here with you today. This month it is my turn to share my little slice of crafty heaven. It’s not big, but it is mine and I love it! that is all that really matters at the end of the day.

 

The biggest tip I can give you all is to please remember it doesn't matter if your craft space is big or small or even just a desk with a bookcase and a few supplies which is what mine used to be, as long as it makes you happy and inspired that is all that matters. My space is a craft corner and not a craft room, which honestly I think I prefer myself as I don't like the feeling of being segregated from the rest of the house.

 

 

I share my space with our little rattie friends Peanut and Vader.

 

 

We have a very large living area in our house and that is where my craft space situated. Because it is in the main part of our house it is white so it blends in with the rest of our decor. It measures about 4.5m x 2.5m.

 

I know you are going to ask is it always that clean and tidy? My answer is yes, I clean up after I finish every project, although my desk does get quiet untidy when creating. I find I need a clean space to be able to create or I get serious creative block and overwhelmed.

 

 

My craft space is made up entirely from Ikea, this shelving is fabulous because you can stand them and stack them any way you like. The box inserts fit anything 12×12 inside perfectly and are deep which means they have lots of space inside for storage.

 

Here are some storage tips I use for storing my Graphic 45 products.

 

Tip 1 – I store my 8×8 paper pads standing up all together with the spines facing out for quick and easy access. This way I can easily see each collection and don't need to go through all of them to find the paper pad I am looking for.

 

 

Tip 2 – I store all of the 12×12 patterns and solids paper pads together with spines facing out because all collections mix and match so well together and all the colours in the pads are easily seen.

 

Tip 3 – I store all sticker sheets in a 12×12 paper plastic folder for easy access. Plus they are protected from being damaged.

 

 

Tip 4 – I store all of my chipboard and tags and pockets standing up in a small storage box. This entire box generally ends up on my desk when creating as they all mix and match so well.

 

I have a pretty paper tower, well that is what I call it. This holds my most used and new Graphic 45 12×12 paper pads. I change these around quite often especially when I receive new collections to work with.

 

 

I store all of my bulkier Graphic 45 products inside my storage boxes. These storage boxes are great because they are very deep so I can fit a lot into them when nicely stacked.

 

In baskets beside my desk I have my most used Graphic 45 staples, these include tags, washi tape, metals and dies. I also have the newer Journaling and Ephemera card sets in them as well.

 

 

 

As you can see I store some of my flowers in glass jars, this way it is easy to pick the colour I want easily.

 

I like to have my favourite projects out on display and I have a lot of them. It does make for more dusting but I don't mind. I give my craft space a deep clean once a month just to keep on top of it all.
