Creating a 5”x4” Album technique

Graphic 45 Supplies – 

Autum Greetings Collection kit

Chipboard 

 

Instructions 

Cardstock 

  • cut 2 pieces at 6“ x 8” and adhere 6” end together. 

 

Chipboard cut size 

  • Spine 1 ½” x 4 
  • Chipboard cover qty 2 at 5” x4”. Using spacing tool ad adhesive to back of chipboard pieces and glue to cardstock. 


Cut each corner, adhere tape all around, fold edges close and burnish all ends for book cover. 

Creating hinges 

  • Cut cardstock 3 7/8” x 8 ½” 
  • Start scoring at 1” then ¼” then ½” and ½” repeat 4 times for a total of 5 hinges to hold each page. 

 

  • Add double sided tape to ½ score line remove and fold each ½ score together creating hinge. 

 

  • Center and adhere hinges to spine cover 

 

Pages 

  • Cut 5 cardstock pieces at 3 7/8” x 9 ½” score at 4 ¾ and fold in half 

 

  • Add tape to inside of pages and adhere each to each hinge 
  • Completed 5” x 4” album
