Merry & Bright Tag

“Hey Everyone!

I’m thrilled to be back on the blog this month sharing with you this beautiful Merry & Bright Tag created for the G45 Facebook Challenge. This tag is perfect to add to a Christmas Gift. My tag features the Merry & Bright collection as well as the Square Black Tags and Square Tag & Clock Metal Dies. You’ll want to read below as I share how to create my Merry & Bright Tag at home.

Step One. You’ll need to take one square tag out from the Square Tags – Black.

 

Step Two. Die cut the Square Tag from the Square Tag & Clock Metal Dies out of the red side of the Wonderful Time of Year Paper. Flip the paper over and cut a piece that measures 4 ⅛” x 3 ⅞”. Round the corners of the paper.

 

Step Three. Cut a piece from the Star side of the Jingle Bells paper that measures 3 ⅝” x 3 ⅜”. Round the corners of the paper.

 

Step Four. From the Celebrate Peace Paper, cut out two border strips and one stamp. Fussy cut around half of the stamp. Cut one border strip down to 3 ⅞”. Cut the other border strip down to 3 ⅝”.

 

Step Five. Cut out the Joy tag from the Merry & Bright Paper.

 

Step Six. From the Merry & Bright 12×12 Patterns & Solids Paper, you’ll need one of the dark green papers. Cut a piece that measures 3 ⅞” x 3 ⅝”. Round the corners of the paper.

 

Step Seven. Out of the Merry & Bright Journaling Cards, you’ll need the card with the back that has a border on it. Cut the card down to 2 ¾” x 4”.

 

Step Eight. Out of the Merry & Bright Ephemera Set, you’ll need two stars, four ornaments, the three red candles and two greenery bunches. Fussy cut around the two greenery bunches.

 

Step Nine. Out of the Merry & Bright Chipboard Tags & Frames, you’ll need the Merry & Bright Tag.

 

Step Ten. Die cut the Square Tag from the Square Tag & Clock Metal Dies out of  from the gold dotted side out of the Merry & Bright 12×12 Patterns & Solids Paper Pack. 

 

Step Eleven. From the Merry & Bright 12×12 Patterns & Solids Paper Pack, you’ll need one of the dark green papers. Cut a piece that measures 4 ⅛” x 3 ⅞”. Round the corners of the paper.

 

Step Twelve. Fussy cut the ornaments out of the Christmas Wonder Paper.

 

Step Thirteen. Adhere the red dotted paper to the black tag on the side that has the grommet.

 

Step Fourteen. Adhere the garland with ornament paper to the red dotted paper. Adhere the smaller green paper to the garland with ornament paper. Adhere the star paper to the green paper.

 

Step Fifteen. Adhere the 3 ⅞” border strip ⅜” from the bottom and ½” from the left of the star paper. Adhere the 3 ⅝” border strip ½” from the bottom and ¼” from the left of the star paper. Adhere the stamp ⅛” from the right and ⅜” from the top of the star paper. Adhere the joy tag all the way to the right side and ¾” from the bottom of the star paper.

 

Step Sixteen. Foam square the journal card ⅝” from the left and all the way to the top of the garland with ornament paper. Adhere a star and ornament to the middle left side of the journal card. Adhere two ornaments to the bottom of the journal card as desired. Adhere the remaining star and ornament to the top right side of the journal card.

 

Step Seventeen. Adhere the greenery bunches as desired slightly overtop of the stars and ornaments. Foam square the three red candles to the right of the greenery bunches as desired. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the merry & bright tag underneath the candles as desired. 

 

Step Eighteen. Flip the tag over and adhere the gold dotted paper tag to the black tag. Adhere the remaining green paper to the gold dotted paper. Adhere the ornament bunch to the top right corner of the green paper.

 

Step Nineteen. To finish the tag, tie a piece of black ribbon into a bow at the top of the tag.
