Autumn Exploding Box

“Hello, crafty friends.

The Autumn Greetings collection instantly captivated me with its vibrant colours and enchanting images. This inspiration led me to create one of my favourite projects: an exploding box or card.

Directions with Measurements

I started by scoring a 12×12 cardstock at 4 & 8 inches, then flipped the cardstock and repeated.
Next, I cut out the squares (using scissors or a craft knife) from each corner. But don’t discard these; they will be repurposed to make envelopes for the inside of the box.
Next, I cut a piece of cardstock to be 7 ⅛ x 7 ⅛ inches and scored it at 1.5 inches on each side.
The cut flaps on each side allow the lids to be easily assembled.
The patterned papers are then cut to be 3 ¾ x 3 ¾ —those will fit each square on the box itself and the lid.
Then, cut 8 pieces of patterned paper to 1 ¼ x 3 ¾ inches. These will decorate the outside and inside parts of the lid.

Then, you only have to decide on beautiful papers, select an embellishment, and, if you are so inclined, add a bit of sparkle.
