Pop-Up Card
Tutorial by Maria Smeshkova
“Hello everyone!
I’ve created this whimsical pop-up card inspired by the enchanting world of Alice in Wonderland and the new Curiouser & Curiouser collection. The intricate layers, vibrant florals, and iconic characters make it a magical keepsake.
Crafting pop-up cards is such a joy – they bring stories to life in 3D form! Want to create one yourself?
For the pop-up mechanism we will need the following parts:
- A piece is 1 1/2″x 8 1/4″
Score on the 8 1/4″ side at 1/2″; 3 1/2″ and 5 1/2″
- B piece is 1 1/2″x 4″
Score on the 4″ side at 1/2″ and 3 1/2″
- C piece is 1/2″x 3 5/8″
Score on the 3 5/8 side at 1/2 and 2 1/8″
- Two D pieces are 3/8″ x 2 1/2″
Score on the 2 1/2 side at 1/2″; 1″ and 2″
I made them out of cardstock and reinforced them using Graphic 45 black chipboard. Next, all that remains is to place the pieces from the Curiouser & Curiouser ephemera set. And the incredibly beautiful organza ribbon was the icing on the cake.
