Altered Box

Tutorial by Anna Sigga

Altering simple boxes is always a fun way to craft. These boxes are also a great way to store your smaller craft supplies or use them as gift boxes.

I found this rectangular box in my stash. Since it is so small, it might work well for those smaller die-cut pieces that I keep losing while crafting.

I started by measuring my box to determine the size of my patterned papers. I usually cut my pieces about ⅛ inches smaller than the box, but that is my preference.

Here are the measurements for my pieces:
  • 3 ¼ x h ¼ inches (1 piece)
  • 3 ⅛ x 5 1/16 inches ( 2 pieces)
  • 2 x 5 ⅛ inches (4 pieces)
  • 2 x s ⅛ inches (4 pieces)

I used the oh-so-fabulous Alice collection Curiouser & Curiouser, and as usual, I had a hard time picking the perfect paper. This collection is simply too darn fabulous.

I then decorated the box with a small metal handle and some sparkly bits because one can never have too much glitter.

  1. I cannot see the video! It says “log in” to show I’m not a bot. Log in to what? There is no login when I click on “learn more”! It doesn’t say what I’m supposed to log into!
