Chest of Drawers – Metal Embellishment Storage

By Cecilia Zertuche

“Hello G45ers, I’m so happy to come again to Graphic 45’s blog to share this project. This month I have to share my ideas to storage all the Graphic 45 goodies, and one of the problems is the little embellishments because usually when I need them I can’t find them, so I made this Chest with drawers using the stunning Elegance paper collection and now it’s easy to access to all the flowers, pearls, metal embellishments and even the packaging cardboard tags, which I can tell I like to use them to wrap the ribbons. Last year I showed you (in this video) that I like to keep my papers by collection, everything in one bag, papers, chipboards, stickers, etc. But the embellishments were the problem, so this is the project which I hope you’ll like and give it a try, you can use any beautiful paper collection that makes you happy if you decide to get this, as I am, on the working table.

-Graphic 45 Elegance Patterns & Solids.

-Graphic 45 Elegance Ephemera & journaling cards.

-Graphic 45 Elegance Chipboard.

-Graphic 45 Decorative Metal Clock,

-Graphic 45 Antique Brass Claw Feet.

-Graphic 45 Ornate Metal Key Holes.

Other Supplies:

-Double sided tape.

-Aleene’s quick dry tacky glue.

-Glossy accents.

-Black acrylic paint.

-Black cardstock.

-Regular scrapbook tools as scoring board, scissors, etc.

TIP- The original project was only the drawers middle part, but on the way I decided to add the boxes on both sides and use the beautiful metal feet, so to balance the middle part I stacked pieces of chipboard that measures about 2”x4” until I’ve got the high from the table to the chest base and then stick it under the base just in the center.

I cover the outside in dark colors but the inside is covered with light colors because the metal embellishments will stand better inside.

TIP- I made this project to fit in my working surface, but you can add more drawers and make it as big as you want!

Thank you so much for your attention!” ~Cecilia
