Step-by-Step Directions

Paint the box with black paint.

Add some texture with a stencil and texture paste on the ‘drawer’ side of the box.

Add some glue on the raised areas of the texture using a glue pen.

Place a piece of gold foil over the glued area and rub gently with a rub-on tool.

Mat the box on both the inside and outside with the pattern papers from the collection.

Create a decorative frame for the front of the box using the chipboard frames, ephemera and stickers.

Decorate the middle section of the box with chipboard and stickers.

Add the metal handle to the ‘drawer’ of the box. Glue two stamped metal brads on each side of the handle and tuck in some ephemera and stickers behind the matted pattern piece.

Cut a piece of pattern paper to create a mechanism for a stand up card effect. This mechanism measures 16 cm by 7.5 cm and score in three sections at 5 cm. Adhere one side of the mechanism to the front cover and the other side to the decorative frame.

Add a chipboard piece so that the decorative frame can be placed behind it, to stand up.

Add another chipboard piece at the bottom to create a closure for the decorative frame .
