Double Page Beach Layout

Hello, G45ers!

Today on the Graphic 45 blog, Kristine Woods is teaching us how to create our own embellishments using fussy cut papers, chipboard, twine and foam adhesive.  These embellishments are gorgeous on scrapbook layouts, cards, and home decor projects.  Be sure to watch the video tutorial to see how Kristine uses the embellishment clusters on this beautiful beach layout.

“Hello G45ers. It’s Kristine and today I want to share a layout technique with you. It’s an easy way to create a beautiful scrapbook layout. I will be featuring the gorgeous Tropical Travelogue Deluxe Collector’s Edition since I’m working with beach vacation photos.

If you’re anything like me, you love to mix and match the coordinating papers from within a Graphic 45 collection. But you don’t want to take the focus away from the photos either. My solution is to make a simple frame and embellishment clusters!

Whether it is a single photo, or even a multi-photo layout, this technique offers many options. Your embellishment clusters can consist of fussy cut pieces from the papers, the chipboard pieces, stickers from the collection, ribbon, twine, bling, metal embellishments, and so much more! The possibilities are endless.

TIP: Use foam squares or small pieces of chipboard under the embellishment clusters to add a bit of dimension to flat layouts. This will make the clusters stand out and create depth.

In the video tutorial below, I will walk you through the process I used to create my layout. You can use this same technique with any of the fabulous Graphic 45 collections.

I hope you find the video tutorial helpful and that it has inspired you to create your own layout with this technique!”
