Elegant Slimline Card with Le Romantique & The Ladies Diary

By Teresa Cruz aka Andor Violeta

“Hi everyone!

Do you need to give a simple present but you want to upgrade it with an elegant touch? So grab your papers and create something special yourself, like a card!!

This one i made to give on a wedding. Where you live, i don’t know if you make like us, but here in Portugal, when someone marries, we give a gift or we give money, so the couple can buy what they need most for their new life together. But it’s even special if we prepare a beautiful envelope or a card where we can put the money don’t you think?…with some space to write a message of best wishes. So take a look what i created with Le Romantique Deluxe Collector’s Edition and A Ladies Diary Deluxe Collector’s Edition. And maybe it’s also a wonderful way to give me best wishes to Charee for her wedding!! Hope your family stay happy, strong and fun as always, today and for the rest of all your life!! (Thank you Teresa!)

So lets take a look of all the details of this slimline card!!

I use some details like fussy cutted flowers, layers of papers, decorative frame that i made with graphic 45 die, ribbon, flowers, graphic 45 new tiny metal clock, chipboards, pearls, paint… and i combine them as you can see!!

You can see the process on the video tutorial on the end of this post don’t you worry, i prepare everything for you!!

And this card also have a special detail. On the back of all the layers, you can see a lace, it was made by a friend, she used cream paste and a mould, it’s gorgeous, and looks like a real lace!! Thank you my friend Angela Barbosa (Presentes Artesanais)!!

Tip 1:  I only start to glue everything when i know i am happy with all the elements together, at least the most important elements. I start to decide witch are the elements that i want to put behind and the ones that i want to stand out!!

Tip 2: when i know the project have many layers, and i don’t want to forget the position where i wish them to be, i put them all together without any glue, i take a photo of that and then i take all off to start to glue piece by piece. If i need i check on the photo with all together to check the right positions i had in mind in the beginning.

The final elements/details are so important than the first ones, but for them i don’t need a plan i just go with the flow, and i add them where i know i need them.

Hope this card was inspiring, it’s very simple to make. So if you want, follow me and enjoy the video tutorial!
