Frame Cut-a-Part Card

Supplies:
  • 12×12 Collection Pack
  • Chipboard Pieces, Tags & Frames

 

Tools:
  • Paper trimmer
  • Scoring tool and bone folder
  • Adhesive and foam adhesive
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Craft knife
Directions:
  1. Cut a Patterns & Solids Sheet to 10” x 7” Score on 10” side at 5”. Hold the card vertically, open the card and on the card front, measure & mark a horizontal pencil line that is 2½” from the top. Mark a second horizontal line that is 3” from the bottom. Using a ruler and kraft knife, cut along both pencil lines to the card fold and the card fold between the two lines.

  1. From the same P&S sheet cut a piece to 4¾” x 6¾”. Adhere to the inside right panel. Select coordinating design sheet, cut two pieces, one 4¾ x 2¼” and one 4¾” x 2¾”. Adhere to the two front card panels. To add more dimension, cut a second coordinating design sheet, cut two pieces, one 4½” x 2” and one 4½” x 2½”. Adhere to the top of the panels.

  1. From a cut-a-part sheet cut out two 3” x 4” designs, add adhesive to the top and bottom of the cut–a-part adhere one to the front center of the card, and do the same with the second piece on the inside. 

  1. Cut a border piece and cut to fit the inside of the card base and adhere one inch from the bottom, use the rest for the fron of the card, adhere ½” from the bottom of the cut-a-part. 

  1. Use Chipboard Pieces and Frames. Take a large frame and center over the cut-a-part image on the front of the card, adhere with foam adhesive. Use chipboard pieces to decorate the outside and inside of the card base.

  3. I can see an album cut from chipboard to resemble a tree stump, a 3D door exterior. Tunnel pages. Pop up tiny people homes…. Brain is in overdrive!!!
