She’s sharing a step-by-step tutorial on how to create two darling Fall Tags using our cozy Autumn Greetings paper collection. Whether you’re adding them to a Thanksgiving place setting or attaching them to a hostess gift, these tags are sure to bring a seasonal touch to your papercrafting.

Fall Tags

“Hey Everyone!
I’m thrilled to be back on the blog this month sharing with you these beautiful Fall Tags perfect to add to a place setting for Thanksgiving with a little note on the back of it or adding them to a hostess gift. My tags feature the Autumn Greetings collection as well as the Square Ivory Tags and Square Tag & Clock Metal Dies.

Read below as I share how to create these Fall Tags at home.
To start, we’ll create the Every Leaf Tag.
Step One. You’ll need one Square Tag in Ivory out of the Square Tags – Ivory package. From the Autumn Greetings 12×12 Patterns & Solids Pack, you’ll need the red gingham paper. Die cut the square tag from the Square Tag & Clock Metal Dies out of the red gingham paper. Sand the edges of the paper.
Step Two. Out of the Autumn Greetings 8×8 Collection Pack, you’ll need the Fall Foliage paper. Cut a piece from the leaf side that measures 4” x 3 ⅞”. Round all four corners. Sand the edges of the paper.
Step Three. Out of the Autumn Greetings 8×8 Collection Pack, you’ll need the Happy Harvest paper. Cut a piece from the orange gingham side that measures 3 ¾” x 3 ⅝”.. Round all four corners. Sand the edges of the paper. From the Autumn Greetings 12×12 Collection Pack, you’ll need the Happy Harvest paper. Fussy cut two large pumpkins with florals, a small pumpkin with flower and a small pumpkin. Cut the floral off of one of the large pumpkins, you’ll only need the florals.
Step Four. Out of the Autumn Greetings 8×8 Collection Pack, you’ll need the Thanks & Giving paper. Cut a piece from the red word side that measures 3 ½” x 3 ⅜”. Round all four corners. Sand the edges of the paper. From the Autumn Greetings 12×12 Collection Pack, you’ll need the Thanks & Giving paper. Choose two border strips. Cut one border strip down to 4”. Cut the second border strip down to 3 ¾”. Sand the edges of both border strips.
Step Five. Out of the Autumn Greetings 8×8 Collection Pack, you’ll need the Gather & Be Grateful paper. Cut out every leaf speaks card. Make sure the card measures 1 ⅞” x 2 ⅝”. Sand the edges of the card.
Step Six. From the Autumn Greetings 12×12 Patterns & Solids Pack, you’ll need the brown paper. Cut a piece that measures 2 ⅛” x 2 ¾” out of the plain brown side. Sand the edges of the paper.
Step Seven. Out of the Autumn Greetings Ephemera Set, you’ll need the Delicious Autumn Wreath, autumn greetings stamp and the circle with pumpkin. Sand the edge of the pumpkin circle.
Step Eight. Adhere the red gingham tag to the square ivory tag.
Step Nine. Adhere the leaf paper to the red gingham paper. Adhere the orange gingham paper to the leaf paper. Adhere the red word paper to the orange gingham paper.
Step Ten. Adhere the 4” border strip ⅛” from the bottom and ⅛” from the left of the red word paper. Adhere the 3 ¾” border strip ½” from the bottom and 1/16” from the left of the red word paper. Foam square the Delicious Autumn wreath to the middle of the red word paper.
Step Eleven. Adhere the autumn greetings stamp ½” from the left and 1” from the top of the red gingham paper. Adhere the single floral ⅝” from the right and 1 ⅜” from the top of the red gingham paper. Adhere the pumpkin with flower to the right and underneath of the floral as desired. Adhere the pumpkin circle slightly to the left of the pumpkin with floral and underneath the floral image.
Step Twelve. Adhere the every leaf quote to the brown paper. Foam square the brown paper ⅝” from the left and ¼” from the top of the red word paper. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the large pumpkin with florals to the bottom left of the every leaf speaks card. Adhere the remaining pumpkin to the right and slightly underneath the large pumpkin with florals.
Step Thirteen. To finish the tag, tie a piece of twine into a bow through the hole at the top of the tag.
The second tag we’ll create is the Gather and be Grateful Tag.
Step One. You’ll need one Square Tag in Ivory out of the Square Tags – Ivory package. From the Autumn Greetings 12×12 Patterns & Solids Pack, you’ll need the brown word paper. Die cut the square tag from the Square Tag & Clock Metal Dies out of the brown word paper. Sand the edges of the paper.
Step Two. Out of the Autumn Greetings 8×8 Collection Pack, you’ll need the Pumpkin Patch paper. Cut a piece from the pumpkin side that measures 4” x 3 ⅞”. Round all four corners. Sand the edges of the paper.
Step Three. Out of the Autumn Greetings 8×8 Collection Pack, you’ll need the Autumn Greetings paper. Cut a piece from the dot side that measures 3 ¾” x 3 ⅝”. Round all four corners. Sand the edges of the paper.
Step Four. Out of the Autumn Greetings 8×8 Collection Pack, you’ll need the Cozy Up! paper. Cut a piece from the floral side that measures 3 ¾” x 3 ⅝”. Round all four corners. Sand the edges of the paper.
Step Five. From the Autumn Greetings 12×12 Collection Pack, you’ll need the Thanks & Giving paper. Choose a border strip. Cut the border strip down to 4”. Sand the edges of both border strips.
Step Six. Out of the Autumn Greetings 8×8 Collection Pack, you’ll need the Gather & Be Grateful paper. Cut out the Gather and be Grateful card. Make sure the card measures 1 ⅞” x 2 ⅝”. Sand the edges of the card. From the Autumn Greetings 12×12 Collection Pack, you’ll need the Gather and Be Grateful paper. Flip the paper over and fussy cut the floral border from the postcard. Cut the floral border in half.
Step Seven. From the Autumn Greetings 12×12 Collection Pack, you’ll need the Happy Harvest paper. Fussy cut one large pumpkin with florals, a small pumpkin with flower and two small pumpkins.
Step Eight. From the Autumn Greetings 12×12 Patterns & Solids Pack, you’ll need the orange paper. Cut a piece that measures 2 ⅛” x 2 ¾” out of the plain brown side. Sand the edges of the paper.
Step Nine. Out of the Autumn Greetings Ephemera Set, you’ll need the But I Love Fall quote, autumn is a gentle quote, autumn greetings stamp and the acorn.
Step Ten. Adhere the brown word paper tag to the square ivory tag. Adhere the pumpkin paper to the brown word paper. Adhere the dot paper to the pumpkin paper. Adhere the floral paper to the dot paper.
Step Eleven. Adhere the border strip ½” from the bottom and all the way to the left side of the floral paper. Foam square one half of the floral border ½” from the right and all the way to the top of the brown word paper. Foam square the other half of the floral border ¼” from the bottom and slightly over hangs the brown word paper.
Step Twelve. Adhere the autumn greetings stamp ⅜” from the right and 1 ⅛” from the top of the floral paper. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the autumn is gentle quote all the way to the bottom and ½” from the left of the brown word paper.
Step Thirteen. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the but I love Fall quote 1” from the top and ⅛” from the left of the brown word paper. Adhere the large pumpkin with floral ⅛” from the right and ⅝” from the bottom of the floral paper. Make sure that the floral will show.
Step Fourteen. Adhere the Gather and be Grateful quote to the orange paper. Foam square the Gather and be Grateful quote 1 ¼” from the right and ⅜” from the top of the floral paper. Adhere two small pumpkins to the bottom right side of the gather and be grateful quote. Adhere the remaining pumpkin to the bottom left of the gather and be grateful quote. Adhere the acorn underneath the floral image as desired.
Step Fifteen. To finish the tag, tie a piece of twine into a bow through the hole at the top of the tag.
