#G45Holiday Christmas Tags
Tutorial by Nikki Sher
“Hello Graphic 45 Friends!
It’s Nikki Sher here back this month to share a fun holiday project I created using the Merry & Bright Collection. It’s the perfect time of year to create for the upcoming holiday season as I still have some time before the chaos begins!
With that in mind, I decided to get a start on my Christmas Tags. Every year I make some special tags to put on presents for parties or gift to special friends. I love doing this as they can keep the tag and display it in their home or even use it as an ornament on their tree!
I’ve shown you how I make tags like this before, but this time I used the Regular Tags in Black from the Graphic 45 Staples Collection. To cover the tags, I die cut the patterned paper with the corresponding Regular Tag and Gears Die. I love that Graphic 45 makes dies to match all their tags! I did cover the front and back with patterned paper, however I plan to add a label of sorts to the back of the tags so that I can write a nice message to the recipient and make sure they know who it’s from (I did all that work – they need to know who made it)!
Since these tags are a bit smaller and I really wanted the patterns to show, I used the Merry & Bright 8×8 Collection Pack, added a bit of glitter paper and more patterned paper before starting to decorate my tags! To embellish my tags, I used the Merry & Bright Ephemera Set. I love how many pieces this pack has – plenty to complete the eight tags I made and more!
Once my tags were all decorated, I tied a bow in the top of the tag with a coordinating ribbon I had on hand and added a few charms to hang from the center of the bow. I like adding this touch as it makes it even more elevated than a standard gift tag.
I really love creating with the Merry & Bright Collection and have a few more ideas planned for it! What do you plan to create for the holiday season?
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about my #G45Holiday Christmas Tags. I hope I’ve inspired you to create something today and as always, please stay happy, healthy and crafty!
