Waterfall Album
Tutorial by Gina Long
“Today, I’m excited to share a festive and functional mini album I created using the beautiful Season to Celebrate collection. This paper line is perfect for capturing cherished memories, and the rich colors and nostalgic patterns made this project such a joy to work on.
-Video Tutorial-
This mini album features two waterfall photo sections designed to hold over 35 photos, making it a great keepsake or gift.

Inside the front cover, you’ll find the first waterfall element, with layered flaps ready to display your favorite snapshots.

Along the spine, I crafted a policy envelope-style pocket that’s adhered to the inside spine — a fun, interactive element that adds both charm and extra storage for tucking in tags, tickets, notes, and additional photos.

The back inside cover holds the second waterfall element.

Helpful Album Making Tips
· Start with strong foundations – Using Graphic 45’s 12×12 Kraft Chipboard Sheets ensures your album is sturdy and long-lasting. Cut pieces precisely for crisp, clean edges.
· Use a ruler + bone folder – When scoring and folding your waterfall flaps, a bone folder is your best friend. It helps you achieve smooth, professional folds.
· Double-check your orientation – Before gluing down your flaps and pockets, lay everything out first to make sure your photos and patterns will face the right direction when turning the pages.
· Interactive pockets = bonus space – Gina’s policy envelope-style pocket on the inside spine is a genius way to add hidden journaling or tuck-in memorabilia.
· Mix sizes for interest – Combining both the 12×12 Patterns & Solids and the 8×8 collection gives your pages more variety, texture, and layering opportunities.
