#G45Selfie Layout: Introducing Paper Extraordinaire Glenys Vidal

Hello, G45ers!

 Welcome to another fun-filled Graphic 45 blog post.  Today, we have an inspiring Self-Portrait to share with you by our new Brand Ambassador from the USA, Glenys Vidal.  Glenys has created a jaw-dropping Floral Shoppe Layout for our #G45Selfie series in celebration of our June Challenge. Some layouts are too beautiful to be in scrapbooks and deserve to be framed and in the spotlight, this is one of those layouts.  But first, we have our Club G45 – Vol. 6 monthly kit to announce. These kits will be up for grabs at 11 am PST to, June 14th, 2018. Glenys Vidal – USA

 

“Hello Graphic 45 fans, my name is Glenys Vidal and I am super excited to be part of the Brand Ambassador team for this upcoming year! I have always loved working with Graphic 45 products, and being part of the team is certainly more than a dream come true for me.

 

I live in Florida, but I am originally from the Dominican Republic. I am a mother of two daughters that are my pride and joy, and I am a dog mom to my baby Brownie.

 

I can say I have always been a crafter for as long as I can remember. Even as a young child I was always trying to learn something new: sewing, embroidery, or even jewelry making, but my real love was hands-down paper crafting. My love for paper crafting started about 17 years ago when my sister got a scrapbook magazine as a gift for her baby shower. I curiously flipped through and instantly was so amazed by all the awesome paper crafts featured in the magazine. I can say I was hooked from that day on.

 

Throughout the years, I have crafted anytime and anywhere I could. In the beginning, it started out as a small dining room table craft session, which eventually moved into a small corner of my room, then the whole garage, and just now recently I finally got a formal craft room of my own. I call it my Happy Place.

 

Fun Facts:

• Crafting is for me is more than a hobby – it is my passion. After long hours at work, I love to sit in my craft room and create. It helps me relax right away.

• I work on different projects at the same time: scrapbooks, mini albums, planner, project life, and others.

• My favorite two projects are travel albums and holiday crafts. I love travel albums because every time I travel somewhere, I always bring back lots of fun mementos that I just can’t wait to include in my albums. While I’m traveling, sometimes I get so excited I even start planning out my designs while on the road. I love holiday crafts because I use them to decorate my house differently each year, making it a special occasion, especially during Christmas.

• Even though I love seeing mixed media projects and have a blast working with different mediums, I am more of a classic scrapbooker at heart. Simple paper and fuzzy cutting are more of my thing.

• I have always been a paper planner girl and am super excited to see that it’s becoming more chic to paper plan now!

• I continuously keep reorganizing my crafting stash, I find it fun

• I listen to YouTube videos of other crafters while I craft. I find it inspiring to watch others and it helps me get new ideas.

I am so looking forward to this upcoming year of crafting, meeting new friends, and working with the amazing products developed by the Graphic 45 team.
