#G45Tag – Kewpie Magic Tags

By Katie Z

“I’d have to say Kewpie dolls are really cute! So cute that I decided to try to come up with something interesting about these adorable dolls for this season. Kewpie Post is what came to my mind, but I wonder how this can be done. It took me close to 2 weeks to figure out how to come up with something that’s “doable” and able to gift away. Still much in love with flying suitcases, and I decided to have ideas combined together and here’s what I’ve come up with…

These flying matchboxes are “removed” from the tags itself, with these Kewpie dolls as flying postdolls to send gifts!

Tip: To make matchboxes “removable” from the tag itself, I’ve used magnets beneath the graphic of the tag as well as the base of the matchbox.

Notice how these little Santa's helpers are getting involved here? And Yes! They are “removable” as well!

Pretty much, I’ve used quite a number of magnets for this project. Well, I’ve made a very short video on how this whole tag works.

That’s all the little Santa's helpers coming out from the matchboxes!

Tip: Glossy accent the fussy cuts to ensure durability. Magnets have been placed behind to make it attached to the box as well as onto the tags.

I’ve also attached a jingle bell within. As you pull the drawer, you will get to hear the bell jingles.

There’s where all the little Santa's helpers heading back to their matchboxes!

Tip: Make your very own tassles with metallic crochet yarns to match your design, which is cheaper and more fun!

Last but not least, to keep it simple just a plain little ephemera attachment on the back where I can pen some messages down. I’ve yet to think what I should gift within the small matchboxes, surely there’d be something I can get which I think I’ll be doing some last minute shopping really soon!” ~Katie Z
