Contract Packaging & Craft Die-Cut Designer

Adobe Illustrator & InDesign | Remote Contract | U.S.-Based

Graphic 45 is seeking an experienced, U.S.-based contract designer to create retail packaging, production-ready dielines, metal craft die designs, instruction sheets, and other printed materials for the paper-crafting industry.

Responsibilities

• Design thin metal craft dies for card making, scrapbooking, and paper crafting
• Design retail packaging, labels, backer cards, product inserts, and instruction sheets
• Create accurate packaging dielines and print-ready Adobe Illustrator files
• Format instructions, product guides, and marketing materials in Adobe InDesign
• Create clean vector artwork with smooth paths and properly connected elements
• Prepare organized files that meet printer and manufacturer specifications
• Clearly identify manufacturing lines using the following color guide:
  • Red: Cutting
  • Green: Embossing
  • Blue: Scoring/Folding

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign
• Professional design experience in the crafting or paper-crafting industry is required
• Experience creating packaging artwork, dielines, craft dies, or manufacturing-ready vector files
• Strong understanding of bleeds, cut lines, embossing, scoring, folds, color modes, and print production
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Must submit a portfolio featuring industry-relevant packaging, craft product, dieline, or die-cut design work
