#G45LeveledUp – Sweet & Simple Card Set featuring Season to Celebrate
by Nikki Sher
“Hello Graphic 45 Friends!
It’s Nikki Sher back to share with you another Graphic 45 Leveled Up Kit! This time I chose the Sweet & Simple Card Set designed by Maria Cole. What drew me to this project was that I loved the simplicity and beauty of the designs. It gave me plenty of room to add my own touches.
For this #G45LeveledUp project, I decided to use the Seasons to Celebrate Collection. This collection is divided into seasons which made making these cards so fun and easy! I was able to create 8 cards, 2 per season, just by using the 8×8 Collection Pack and the Ephemera Assortment.
I used the Kraft Square Cards with Envelopes as my base and began choosing which papers to use. I knew I wanted to keep one of the season’s cut apart sheets intact for each set of cards. These scaled down images worked great as additional embellishments and focal points for my card. For the card patterned paper, I used Carla’s original measurements:
Front of Card –
1 piece measuring 5×5
1 piece measuring 4 ¼” x 4 ¼”
Inside of Card –
1 piece measuring 3” x 5”
1 piece measuring 3 ¾” x 4 ¼”
Once I had all the paper attached, I began picking my embellishments. I cut apart one full 8×8 sheet of each season’s cut apart sheet and I grouped my Ephemera by season. This made going through each pile easy based on which season I was working on! Of course I made sure to add lots of foam tape at differing heights to give lots of dimension to the cards. To finish the cards off, I added a small piece of leftover patterned paper to the envelope flaps.
I absolutely love the way these cards came out and I can’t wait to send them to friends and family. Thank you, Maria Cole, for the inspiration! Does this inspire you to look at your past kits? What do you think you could alter or update to make it just a little different?
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about #G45LeveledUp project. I hope I’ve inspired you to create something today and as always, please stay happy, healthy and crafty!
Best,
Nikki Sher, Crafty Creations by Nikki
