Organize Your Craft Supplies Like a Pro

with Maria Smeshkova

“Hi, friends! My name is Maria, and welcome to my craft room. Today, I’m thrilled to show you around this space where I create, dream, and unwind.

I live on the beautiful island of Phuket, so my craft space is designed to suit both the warm climate and a compact setup.

One of my favorite things about this room is the view. Just look at those lush palm trees outside! They bring so much light and tropical vibes into my workspace.

Considering the size of the room, I’ve organized everything to make it as practical and accessible as possible.

I wanted this space to feel cozy and inspiring, with a mix of natural tones and creative accents.

Organize Craft Supplies Like a Pro

This is my main crafting area. It’s simple but functional, with everything I need close by. And I love how the natural light from these windows makes it so pleasant to work here. Here I spend most of my time crafting. I’ve got my tools, cutting mats, and basic supplies within arm’s reach.

These shelves are a lifesaver for keeping everything organized. I’ve divided my papers, embellishments, and stamps into categories to make finding things easier.

In this folder, I keep all my swatches, including Distress Oxides, Distress Inks, Stain Sprays, Oxide Sprays, and many others. It’s an essential tool for quickly referencing colors and making sure I choose the perfect shades for my projects.

I use plastic folders to store leftover scraps from my Graphic 45 projects, along with decorative elements, ephemera, stickers, and other small items. It’s such a practical and efficient way to keep everything tidy and easy to find. This way, I can not only easily find all the leftover papers from the specific collection, but I also instantly know where all the sets of decorative elements are stored.

I keep together all my 12×12 Graphic 45 paper pads. They inspire me! Unfortunately, this is not my complete collection of Graphic 45 papers, as part of it was left in Kyiv.

This space isn’t just for crafting – it’s my happy place. It’s where I unwind, let my creativity flow, and sometimes even work with my daughter on fun projects.

Thank you so much for joining me on my craft room tour. I hope you found some ideas and inspiration for your own creative space.

See you soon and happy crafting!” ~Maria
