“Hi crafty friends. It’s Kristine and I am very excited to share with you my first attempt at a #G45Reel. It was a really fun challenge to create a 60 second tutorial for the G45 community! For my tutorial, I will show you how to make a short paper snippet roll for a scrapbook layout.

Snippet rolls are quite popular in journal making, and often they are made using fabric, lace, and other embellishments. I knew I wanted to use my Alice’s Tea Party collection since I am creating a layout with photos from tea I had with a dear friend of mine. I hope you enjoy my quick snippet roll tutorial and are inspired to try one of your own.

The Graphic 45 ephemera assortments are absolutely perfect for creating a snippet roll. Of course, I couldn’t resist adding in some fussy cutting, too!

For the shape of my snippet roll, I made a ticket strip from cream cardstock, measuring 2” x 10 ½”. Then, I added some stamping using my G45 Floral Background Stamp with Marine Blue ink, and then started layering my die cut pieces.

Once my snippet roll was finished, I added it to the bottom of my scrapbook layout. I really like the dimension it gives my layout, and how it balances out the rest of my page.” ~Kristine
