Kristine Woods – USA

As long as I can remember, I have always loved art and creating. I made my first “scrapbook” from bridal magazines and construction paper when I was about 12-years-old. Since that time, my love for creating has evolved. In high school, I took oil painting classes and learned the Bob Ross wet-on-wet technique. In college, I learned how to quilt and had a lot of guidance from my aunt and my mom. I also dabbled in traditional scrapbooking at that time and it wasn’t until 2016 that I discovered mini albums and the gorgeous Graphic 45 papers! Needless to say, it was love at first sight! Since then, I have broadened my crafting to include scrapbook layouts, mini albums, cards, mixed media and home decor projects. I joined the FotoBella design team in 2020 and started my YouTube channel. There, I offer tutorials and share my crafting projects. In 2021, I was honored to be selected for the Graphic 45 brand ambassador team. I am constantly inspired by other crafters and love to teach other crafters new techniques and ideas. In the midst of the pandemic, I opened my small business, K. Nichole Designs, Limited, where I make laser-cut, handmade wooden embellishments for crafting and sell digital tutorials of my mini albums. While most of my free time is dedicated to crafting of some sort, I also enjoy reading, traveling, and photography.

How to Use G45 Metal Dies to Make a Mini Album

By Kristine Woods

Hi everyone. I am so honored and excited to be returning for a second year with the Graphic 45 Brand Ambassador team. I am constantly inspired by the gorgeous paper collections by Graphic 45 and cannot wait to see what new releases are coming soon! Of course, I also love the older collections, and actually own all but two Graphic 45 collections! Needless to say, I have a Graphic 45 paper addiction.

During my first year as a Graphic 45 brand ambassador, I have dabbled in many different paper crafting techniques. From traditional scrapbook layouts to mini albums to cards to home decor, I’ve tried it all! That’s one thing I love about crafting – there’s so much you can do! Mini albums are my absolute favorite project to make, especially baby albums. However, I am always trying to challenge myself to go outside my comfort zone and my art has grown tremendously as a result!

Over the past year, I’ve been focusing on another side of my art as I finally launched my own small business, K. Nichole Designs, Limited. I have been learning how to design digital files and in my Etsy shop, I sell laser-cut wooden embellishments for crafting. Two of my designs (the wooden cover and the wooden bees) are featured in my Let it Bee mini album.

For my project, I created a video tutorial showing you how to make your own tag base and decorate them using your Graphic 45 metal dies. Then, I will show you how to use the same dies to create the pages in the mini album.
