How to: Paper Advent Calendar Featuring Winter Wonderland

Hello, G45ers!

We are moving a bit slowly here at Graphic 45 after the Thanksgiving festivities here in the states and I bet some of you out there are right there with us. Today we have a timely Winter Wonderland DIY Papercrafting Advent Calendar by Magda Cortez to help ease us all into the day. This thoughtful creation would make a great gift for a loved one to hold them over until Christmas. Magda has included a SnapGuide tutorial to get you started on your own, just in time for the 1st.

Before we get crafting, it is time to announce this week's blog prize winner. The winner is….Robyn Marshall! Here is what Robyn had to say, "Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! I love it! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!" Congratulations, Robyn!

This week's prize package is a Place in Time – Deluxe Collector’s Edition, Home Sweet Home 12×12 Paper Pad,  Shabby Chic Metal Key Holes, Metal Door Plates & Knobs, and Ivory Mixed Media Album, an $80+ value.

DIY Advent Calendar

By Magda Cortez

Hi all, Me again! And today I’m going to share my Advent Calendar for 2018! I love the results!

For this project, I did a SnapGuide Tutorial and I hope you like it. It is super easy but time-consuming doing the 25 tiny boxes. Worth it!

Check out How to Advent Calendar by Magda Cortez on Snapguide.

Step by Step Tutorial to Creating Your Own Advent Calendar

For years and years, I've had those metal tags and today was the day I used them and I love it!

You don’t need to decorate a lot because we need the book to lay flat. The tiny tags with the numbers are enough and with the beautiful paper, we don’t need more!

For this project I used the Winter Wonderland and St. Nicholas Patterns & Solids paper collections!! They match perfectly!

For my cover I want something beautiful so I added lots of ribbons and a couple of Petaloo Flowers and ta- daaa!

You can make this beautiful Advent Calendar for your special person and fill it with lots of surprises. You are just on time! Thanks and have a wonderful day!

XOXO”

Tips:

1. Don’t be afraid to combine every collection; it’s very fun and makes your project unique!

2. Graphic 45 gives you all you need to make a wonderful work, with their lovely decorated papers, tags, borders, and other elements with which to create.

3. Mix paper and patterned or solid fabrics to get a cozy result. It is very easy to use strong glue as binding to cover with fabric.
