Special Project Designer 2018-2019

Maggi Harding – USA

“Hi, I'm Maggi Harding and I'm a southern gal, residing in North Carolina. These days I am a happily retired, stay at home, crazy, paper loving, scrap artist, living with my husband and two standard poodles girls.  We love to travel and the girls always go on the road with us in the RV, otherwise known as the Rolling Doghouse. And yes, I have a "mobile" studio in the Doghouse.

When I'm not in my studio crafting something, I'm either in my garden or in the kitchen.  I love to cook and find that cooking is also a very creative process. My favorite thing to cook?  A big pot of soup, no two pots ever taste the same! In the summer, I grow lots of produce so I spend a lot of time canning and freezing vegetables, jams, relishes and pickles.

I've been on a wonderful journey as a designer for Graphic 45 since 2015 and I've loved every minute of it.   Their color palette and vintage images always stir my creative soul! I'm always looking forward to the next collection because I just know that Diane and her team are going to WOW us with something fantastic!

Imagine Traveler's Notebook

I am loving the new Imagine collection!  The colors, images, and sentiments really do set your imagination to spinning!  I decided to make a really fun Traveler's Notebook that can be used as a mini album. I loaded it with waterfalls and lots of tags and pullouts for photos and journaling. I did a lot of fussy cuts for the cover and popped up the cuts to give the cover lots of dimension.” ~Maggi

Tip:  Fussy cut one or two elements for your cover to make it really special and give it lots of dimension.  Pop up the fussy cuts with dimensional foam tape or cardboard.

Tip:  Graphic 45 keyholes aren't just for looks, check out my tutorial to see how to make a mini album closure with a keyhole, velcroand ribbon.
