Kaleidoscope Pop Up Card

Hello, G45ers!

Add a bit of fun and dimension to your handmade cards with this brilliant and bold Pop Up Card Tutorial.  This step by step video has been created for us by Graphic 45 Brand Ambassador, Larissa Fyodorovna as a part of our #ClubG45LeveledUp series.  This series is where we ask our Brand Ambassadors to take one of our tutorials and make it their own, Larissa has done that by swapping out our Catch of the Day collection for the retired Kaleidoscope collection.  It is incredible to see how mixing up the papers and adding a few embellishments can transform a project.  Enjoy!

Pop Up Card

By Larissa Fyodorovna

“This pop up card has a simple parallel construction, it can be made easily, but is still very effectful.

The production is created with the instructions from #G45CardClub Vol. 5, but from a different collection namely – Kaleidoscope.

The collection is very colorful and can be softened somewhat with additions of light cardstock, or enhanced with contrasting cardstock.

In addition, I have decorated the composition by a mixture of toppings.

In the video you can see an overview and the tutorial for the Kaleidoscope Pop up card.

Have fun with it.

-Tips-

  • The inside of the card has a bit more volume due to the pop up construction and decoration. A double fold in the cardstock base can help the card close better and not spread open.

  • Sometimes I make the elements stand out from each other by gluing a contrasting color cardstock underneath and cutting it out again with a thin border. This can be done, for example, with stickers or even with fusy cut elements.

  • I like to use toppings in my projects. They always add a certain touch to the work. In this project I decorated them with holographic confetti, micro beads, glitter crystals and gold paint splatters. It’s fun and festive looking.” ~ Larissa
