“Hello everyone!
Halloween season always brings a special kind of inspiration. I love the contrast between mystery and playfulness, a mix of dark tones, subtle shimmer, and a touch of whimsy. When my daughter’s new vampire costume arrived, I instantly knew this would be the story for my next layout. I could already picture the deep reds, silver sparkles, and smoky shades coming together on one page.
I started by layering and tearing papers from the Graphic 45 Ghostly Greetings collection, a little chaotic, but that’s the fun part. Some edges are distressed, and I left a few tiny gaps just to let the background breathe. I added Ephemera, Chipboard Pieces, Tags & Frames, and Rub-On Transfers, mixing them with my own die cuts, delicate branches, leaves, and a few spooky details.
The best part of creating for me is when everything starts to fall into place. I love being able to move elements around until the whole composition simply feels right. Then come the final touches, a few silver and black sequins, some paint splatters, and a whisper of magic in the air. Finally, I mounted the finished page on a black base and then onto a Graphic 45 12×12 Chipboard Sheet for extra strength.
It’s always amazing how a single photograph can unfold into a whole story, one page filled with memories, imagination, and a little Halloween spirit.
