Le Romantique Mini Album

Hello, G45ers!

Today we are serving up a romantic and shabby chic mini album that celebrates vintage beauty.  This scrapbook and video tutorial have been created for us by Graphic 45 Brand Ambassador, Janus Zate.  Janus selected our Le Romantique – Deluxe Collector’s Edition for this album and shares some excellent design tips on how to make any project come together.

“Hello G45ers! This is Janus and I’m here to share with you a #g45Technique on paper layering. I made this mini album using Graphic 45’s Le Romantique Deluxe Collector’s Edition.

In this project I chose soft tones like pink and peach, with a few darker tones as accents. I also chose to use Kraft cardstock instead of white to give a more rustic, vintage feel.

A lot of craft beginners often feel intimidated towards layering pieces onto their projects, or they don’t know where to begin.

Tip: Start off your layering with just 3-5 pieces and work your way towards adding more from there. If you’re happy with what you come up with just a few pieces, you don’t need to further add to it.

I used the stickers and chipboards that accompany the collection to decorate this album. If you’ve seen my projects and videos before, there’s really no pattern in my layouts and spreads. It’s really just layering ,finding the right color combinations and elements that will work cohesively together. It’s a thoughtless process and just really letting your gut guide you. You just play around with how you want the pages to look like.

Tip: There is no wrong or right way to do it. Just have fun and if you feel like you made a mistake, let it be a part of your art! It will add a certain charm to your work.
