Learn How to Create Your Own Cook Book Featuring French Country

French Country Cook Book

“I love creating mini albums and books, and to make them look more cozy, I like creating fabric covers for them.

 

It's quite easy to do, and I filmed a process of me creating it so that you can check and follow my steps too.
 

For my fabric cover, I combined 2 different fabric pieces, but you can start with one.

 

You will need 2 pieces of cardboard ( a bit larger than the sheets you are going to use inside,) 2 pieces of fleece the same as the cardboard, and your fabric needs to be 1-1 ½ inches larger than the cardboard

To embellish my cover, I used the paper pieces, and there are 2 options. You can stitch them directly to the cover – be sure that the needle of your stitching machine is quite strong enough to deal with the thickness of the cardboard you use or you can make a faux stitching. You still need to make the stitching, but you can stitch only the papers together and then adhere them to your fabric cover. It will save your machine and still it will have a handmade look. I made this book to keep the favorite recipes, and I guess that French Country is a perfect collection to use for your cook books. I also made the dividers to separate the pages inside.

 

 

 

I used some of the cards to keep the tags and notes, so keep this in mind while adhering them to the background: leave 2 sides of it free of adhesive so that you could easily put in the note.
