Little Women 8×8 Easel Card
By Kathy Clement
“I had to choose just one favorite book from my childhood, it would have to be Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women. I could not have been more delighted to find that Graphic 45 had memorialized this endearing tale of Meg, Jo, Beth, Amy, and Marmee in their January release. I could not wait to have a playdate with these gorgeous images, prints, and patterns. Because this tale played such a big part in my life growing up, I decided to make a big card! This 8” x 8” Easel Card Folio is the end result. What fun I had listening to the story again on an audiobook while I worked.
I combined Ephemera cards, patterned papers, and fussy cut images to create the card folio cover.
Tips:
Mat images on black cardstock to really make them pop.
Add designer paper to Staples Black ATC tags to add style and easy layers to your card design.
This Antique Metal Door Plate and Knob is a perfect match for the vintage images in this collection.
Tip:Turn an Antique Metal Door Pull upside down and fill with flowers to add a touch of whimsy to your layout.
I love all the fountain pens in this collection. This one is fussy cut, backed with waste chipboard and layered in with fussy cut flowers. A Staples Metal Clock Key suspended from a Black ATC tag takes the design “off the page” which is always fun to do.
Tip:Use a border strip to create a “stopper” element for your easel card folio. I’ve matted this one on black cardstock. Then I added height by gluing waste chipboard to the back.
The large format of this card gives you the ability to add unexpected interactive elements to the interior.
Tip: Don’t Forget the “B” Side
The ephemera cards in this collection are especially beautiful. Don’t forget to use the “B” side of these gorgeous elements. I cut a large 4” x 6” ephemera card down to form this pocket, then filled it with decorated ATC tags and a mini folio.
Tip: You can fussy cut small elements from a large sheet of paper and use them to embellish a card. That’s what I did with this great “Love is a great beautifier” quote in the right-hand corner.
Tip: Create small folios and decorate with ephemera cards or images from the cut apart pages. This gives you a great spot to add photos and hidden journaling.

Inside this large easel card, I’ve created a fun set of mini folios, pockets and tags. The large 8” x 8” size provided lots of room for creativity!
The reverse side of an ephemera card makes a handy pocket for these ATC tags. I’ve used border scraps and fussy cut images to decorate each tag. The tag on the right has a belly band to hold the tiny folio seen on the left in this photo.
I also used the ephemera cards to create these sweet mini folios. Each folio has a magnetic closure.
There’s room inside each 3” x 4” folio to add pictures or journaling.” ~Kathy

Little Women 5×5 Mixed Media Box & Album
By Alexandra Morein
“Hello, all! We love not only making mini albums but also putting them in boxes. This has never been easier to do than with the Graphic 45 mixed media boxes, matchbook boxes, and book boxes. Pick up a collection, pick up a size of the box, and you are all set.
For my project today, I used the 5X5 mixed media kraft box and embellished it with the paper from the gorgeous new collection, Little Women. A tiny mini album (only 4.5X4.5”) is hiding inside the box. I love the combination of yellows, blues, greens, and reds in this collection, and those flower clusters are simply breathtaking!”
